Houston, TX - Texas Duct Systems, Inc., with over 26 years in business specializing in sheet metal and fiberglass duct fabrication, acquired the Spiral-HelixR 200 Automatic Tubeformer in 2000 in order to better service their air conditioning industry customers.
This machine makes spiral duct for use in cases where specifications require a more durable, or in some cases a more pleasing, aesthetic look, in place of the square or rectangular ducts that have long been used in air dispersion. "Producing specified duct for the contractor, whether he is in the residential, commercial, or industrial market, is what we do," stated Don Small, President. "This state-of-the-art machine will help us meet any of our client's specifications, regardless of job requirements."
The company felt the opportunity to supply their customers with spiral duct was a service they should offer, with so many building applications now using the spiral duct in more visible areas, such as opened ceiling buildings. The Helix Automatic Tubeformer circular-duct manufacturing machine has the ability to custom produce spiral duct in many different lengths and diameters. In addition to the Tubeformer, Texas Duct also acquired a six-foot power roller, and the Gorelocker Sport. The Gorelocker Sport produces spiral elbows to further customize applications.
This capital expenditure reinforced Texas Duct Systems ability to expand and enhance the duct fabrication products they now offer their customers. The spiral duct inventory manufactured and kept in stock includes 4" through 10" and even sizes through 24" diameter in ten-foot lengths.
Lengths longer or shorter than the standard ten-foot sections are available on special orders, as well as sizes through 48-inch diameters in even numbered sizes. In addition to spiral pipe and specialty fittings that they manufacture, the company carries a full line of related accessories.
Don Small is excited about the expansion of their product line and looks forward to working with their customers for special ductwork applications. Also Note - Texas Duct Systems, Inc. is one of the few nationwide internal insulators of spiral with manufactures approval. Our company's R & D department assisted in the development of equipment design and fabrication techniques that are used in the industry today. This research resulted in the vast knowledge and expertise that our company puts into each product that goes out the door.
